The operators joined forces with the Center for Cybersecurity and telecom watchdog BIPT for the government’s Stop Phishing project. Software is also being developed to increase the cyber security of emails. The project will start in a pilot phase in the spring. These are accounts managed by Proximus or Telenet.

Last year, the Center for Cybersecurity received no fewer than 10 million reports of emails that seemed suspicious. These often concern messages that attempt to obtain information, such as your account number or ID number.
