Province is considering request to receive more Ukrainians

But now Flanders is asking for another effort to find 50 places for Ukrainians who need shelter. The province of West Flanders is working on the question, but is dependent on the mayors for this.

Anne Martens, acting governor of West Flanders: “In addition to Ukrainians, there are also many other people who are received here in West Flanders, asylum seekers. Sometimes that becomes too burdensome and too difficult. In any case, we will take the question into account and see which is possible. But I cannot say today where we will find the places and whether we will find them.”
