Ukrainian-American actress Mila Kunis (38, “Black Swan”) and her husband Ashton Kutcher (44) have launched a humanitarian aid fundraiser for Ukraine.
They themselves wanted to donate three million dollars, they said in a video on Thursday. Her goal is to raise $30 million for refugees through an online fundraising platform. After a few hours, almost three million dollars had been raised.
She was born in Ukraine in 1983 and came to the United States with her family in 1991, Kunis said. She always felt like an American, but today she is a “proud Ukrainian”.
The actress called the Russian invasion of Ukraine an “unjust attack on humanity”.
