For the first time in more than two months, Telstar managed to win a competition again. Dordrecht was defeated 1-0 in Velsen-Zuid. Telstar coach Andries Jonker saw his team play well again, but this time there was also the reward. “Often left empty-handed. Now three points.”
Glynor Plet was the celebrated man on behalf of Telstar. The Spire of the White Lions headed the winning goal fifteen minutes before the end. Plet also made his ninth of the season and was very pleased with his liberating 1-0 afterwards.
Fourth period
With the win, Telstar is in the left row of the standings for the fourth period. Andries Jonker’s team therefore definitely has something to play for and so they are looking forward positively to the last phase of the season.
Next Monday, Telstar will play the make-up match against ADO Den Haag. This match can be followed live from 7 p.m. via an extra radio broadcast by NH Sport.
