During protests against the impeachment of Peruvian President Pedro Castillo, protesters stormed Arequipa International Airport. The rioters destroyed fences and set fire to a guardhouse, the Peruvian Ministry of Transport announced Monday (local time). The airport of Peru’s second city, which is a thousand kilometers from the capital Lima, has been closed for security reasons.
