When the farmers arrived at the agreed place on Thursday night, a chip truck was in their place. FDF then moved to Middelaar, where an action had already been announced. FDF leader Mark van den Oever said he heard by email at 08.00 in the morning that the site had been vacated after all and the farmers had until 08:30 to come after all. “That was of course no longer feasible at the time. That’s why we stayed where we were then,” says Van den Oever.
