To understand the subject, what is prospecting?

They are all actions aimed at getting new contacts (leads) so that later they become clients, studying a specific niche to reach them. Also commonly called “lead generation”

– Why is this tool so important in an independent business?

I answer with a question: How many university careers do we know where it is taught to sell ourselves as professionals, or to get new and good clients?

We can have an innovative business, or a venture in a highly demanded area, with defined processes and a well-achieved brand identity, but if we don’t tell anyone and even worse, we don’t know how to sell it, that previous work will be of no use. Here lies its great importance.

– How do we achieve good results when looking for clients?

-A brand strategy and a strong work on the value proposition must be combined with powerful prospecting campaigns, classified and oriented to the different sources of obtaining leads (contacts), since these pillars work amalgamated, a value proposition without marketing is not effective, and a prospecting campaign without solid support in the proposal will make us lose customers.

– What do you mean when you talk about obtaining sources?

When approaching prospects from all existing areas, social networks, WhatsApp business, calls, brochures, etc. Always studying beforehand exhaustively what is the channel where my audience mostly communicates and searches for information.

– What is the prospecting challenge?

I believe that the greatest challenge is for us, as owners of our businesses, to overcome the limiting beliefs that we have about some or all of the ways of communicating what we do, Sometimes due to a generational issue or a certain embarrassment to expose themselves, people are often reluctant to make videos on networks, to show themselves as the face of their enterprise or also to generate cold contacts. The more we work on the areas for improvement personally, the greater the ability to approach potential clients.

In short, whatever the undertaking, studying a strategy and going out to communicate it effectively is the key.
