Berlin (Reuters) – ProSiebenSat.1 surprisingly postpones the presentation of the balance sheet for 2022, which was originally planned for Thursday.
The reason for this is regulatory issues relating to the business of Jochen Schweizer mydays, which belongs to the Commerce & Ventures segment, the television group explained on Tuesday evening.
According to information recently received based on the results of an external audit, it is assumed that the business activities of the two subsidiaries Jochen Schweizer GmbH and mydays GmbH, which essentially consist of the sale of vouchers, fall under the Payment Services Supervision Act (ZAG). Therefore, an adjustment of the business model of Jochen Schweizer mydays is being examined.
The circumstances affected the ongoing audit work for the annual and consolidated financial statements, so that the balance sheet press conference could not take place on March 2, 2023 as planned. As a result, the date for the ordinary general meeting, previously planned for May 2nd, may have to be postponed. A group spokeswoman said it was still unclear when the balance sheet press conference and shareholder meeting could take place.
In addition, it is open when the new ProSiebenSat.1 boss Berts Habets will present the future strategy. This was originally planned for Thursday as well. The Italian major shareholder MFE advocates that Bayern focus more on the core business of television and entertainment.
In relation to the Group’s external sales, the business activities of the Jochen Schweizer mydays Group (without Regiondo) accounted for 1.6 percent in the 2021 financial year at EUR 73 million. ProSiebenSat.1 emphasized that based on the knowledge gained so far, the previous full-year outlook for 2022 is being adhered to.
