“Wok and ice rink, genius and madness, tradition and Olympic spirit, sport and ambition”: According to ProSieben boss Daniel Rosemann, all of this makes up the “TV total Wok World Cup”. After seven years, the broadcaster is now announcing the comeback of the show for winter 2022/23, live and moderated by Sebastian Pufpaff.
In the sport invented by Stefan Raab, the participants slide down the racetrack on a modified wok – both alone and in a team of four. For Raab it’s “time that ProSieben shows major sporting events again”. The Superbowl was only the warm-up.
Nothing is known about the participants yet, but they are following in the footsteps of the two luge Olympic champions Georg Hackl and Felix Loch, as well as Raab and Joey Kelly, who are currently leading the medal table.
Most recently, ProSieben ensured excellent ratings in 2021 with a revival of “TV total”, also with moderator Sebastian Pufpaff.
