On Friday, April 1, the state prosecutor asked to sentence four former editors of the DOXA publication to two years of hard labor with deprivation of the right to administer sites for 3 years. About it TASS reported in court.
Currently, the Dorogomilovsky Court of Moscow is considering the case of DOXA employees on the merits. Armen Aramyan, Natalya Tyshkevich, Vladimir Metelkin and Alla Gutnikova are charged with involving minors in dangerous illegal acts by a group of persons via the Internet (part 2 of article 151.2 of the Criminal Code), they face up to three years in prison. On Thursday, March 31, justice of the peace Anastasia Taratulya extended the term for banning certain actions on editors until July 15.
Earlier, RBC reported that in April last year, the Basmanny Court of Moscow chose a preventive measure for young people in the form of a ban on certain actions. Journalists were forbidden to leave their homes (from 00:00 to 23:59) and use the Internet (later the restrictions were relaxed – they were allowed to walk for two hours a day).
Roskomnadzor blocked the website of the student publication DOXA
According to investigators, the editors of DOXA posted a video on the Internet that spoke of intimidation and expulsion of students from universities for participating in unsanctioned rallies in support of opposition leader Alexei Navalny. Also, young people spoke about the inadmissibility of restricting the right of young people to protest.
