ProRail and NS are pushing all train passengers into the car

ProRail warned on Monday that work on the track will lead to significantly more inconvenience for travelers in the coming years.

In the summer of last year, the railway manager announced that it would be carrying out more work during the day and outside the holidays this year. On Monday it was announced that the nuisance will become even greater from 2025 to 2030, due to a further increase in the amount of maintenance and staff shortages.

This warning came on top of last week’s news of a significant rate increase. The NS then announced that it would increase the price of train tickets and season tickets by more than 10 percent on January 1.

What do you think? Are ProRail and NS driving train passengers into the car with this? Or do people consciously choose to travel by train, for example for environmental reasons, that they continue to do so? Join the discussion.
