Following recent management changes at Spanish fashion house Pronovias, Alessandra Rinaudo, creative director of the company since September 2019, is leaving the group. It has not yet been announced who will take her place.
Rinaudo’s departure, which was widely reported in the media and confirmed by Pronovias at the request of FashionUnited, comes at a difficult time for the renowned leader in the bridal fashion industry.
After Pronovias announced the immediate resignation of then-CEO Amandine Ohayon in late May, the company announced further major changes to its management team.
Marc Calabia, former CEO of Tendam’s Springfield brand, has been selected to take Ohayon’s place from September 1st. Until then, Clement Kwan, who most recently acted as a consultant, will lead the company on an interim basis.
The new owners aim for further growth
These sweeping changes at the top of Pronovias come after a €180 million cash injection the company received in May from investment houses Bain Capital and MV Credit. At the end of 2022, a consortium led by the two financial companies took over the group.
The new owners are determined to restructure the Pronovias Group and push ahead with expansion. In doing so, they build on the company’s worldwide reputation and its past successes in the bridal fashion industry.
Pronovias announces changes in management team
But that’s not all: the company has already announced further additions to the management team. Maria Muntaner has been appointed Marketing Director and Gemma Ruiz has been appointed Chief Product and Merchandising Officer. The two experts will strengthen the Pronovias team to drive growth and ensure innovation at the brand.
The departure of Alessandra Rinaudo is part of this “new chapter” in Pronovias’ development, the company said. No further changes are planned for the time being.
