Promoted Heidenheim announces first summer transfer

Promoted team 1. FC Heidenheim has brought back Austrian Nikola Dovedan for his first season in the Bundesliga.

The attacker has signed a one-year contract, the club said. He comes on a free transfer from Austria Wien and is FCH’s first signing this summer.

Dovedan played in the second division in Heidenheim from 2017 to 2019 before moving to 1. FC Nürnberg. Even then, the now 28-year-old proved “what extraordinary offensive qualities he possesses and that he can use them to make a team more variable and better in the game,” said FCH CEO Holger Sanwald.
