Stick for Kimberley Bos?
Kimberley Bos hopes to help the Netherlands with the first Dutch Olympic medal ever in the skeleton. The 28-year-old Edese starts the second and last day of the tournament at the Yanqing National Sliding Center as number 6 in the standings. However, the differences at the top are small. Bos finished tenth in the first run on Friday and set the second fastest time in the second. The third run starts Saturday at 1.20 p.m. Dutch time, directly followed by the fourth and final run.
Busy skating day
In long track skating it is from 09.53 hours it was the turn of the men in the 500 meters. Merijn Scheperkamp, Kai Verbij and Thomas Krol are participating on behalf of the Netherlands, view the full draw here.
For the 500 meters, the Dutch skaters already came into action this morning in the quarter-finals in the team pursuit section. Irene Schouten, Ireen Wüst and Antoinette de Jong were unable to convince. The Orange trio set the third fastest time in the National Speed Skating Oval, in an apparently uncontrolled race, with 2.57.26.
