ERC incorporates a new signing from the academic world for the general elections on July 23. The professor of Criminal Law at the University of Barcelona Joan Josep Queralt will head the Republican list for the Senate for Barcelona, according to El Nacional and this newspaper has confirmed. The proposal will be ratified this Friday by the party’s national council, which will approve the candidacies for Congress and the Senate.

Graduated in Law from the University of Barcelona and doctor of law by the UAB, Queralt currently directed the Department of Criminal Law and Criminology and Public International Law and International Relations of the UB. A collaborator in various media, he is also the main researcher at the UB in projects on anti-corruption strategiescriminal responsibility, and freedom of expression and theory of crime.
Precisely this Wednesday the signing of the journalist Francesc-Marc Álvaro as number three on the ERC list for Congress, behind the headliner, Gabriel Ruffianand number two, Teresa Jorda.
