Hertha BSC caused a surprise on Sunday: none other than legendary coach Felix Magath should get the club back on track. Managing director Fredi Bobic said of the coach’s commitment: “He has proven many times that with his experience in any sporting situation he can make the right adjustments to lead us out of our sportingly challenging situation.”

1.40 p.m.: The press conference is over.
1:39 p.m.: Felix Magath talks about his personality as a coach. He says energetically: “Discipline is part of it. I’ve learned that it’s important to do it. I demand discipline for Hertha BSC. I don’t feel happy when I do it. The players have to understand that discipline is part of a team sport .”
1:38 p.m.: “I have no concerns that I would have any problems with the current situation,” says Magath, when asked about his ten-year break in the Bundesliga: “I’m looking forward to it, I’ve always enjoyed working.”
1:36 p.m.: Bobic is asked whether Lars Windhorst, as an investor, found out about the new coach. The managing director says: “I am in contact with Lars Windhorst, the contact is lively and good. Everyone knows about it.”
1.30 p.m.: Bobic on how the team found out about the new coach: “I told the players that a new coach was coming. I took them with me in that regard. I said to them: ‘Look at your cell phones, you will find out .'”
