junior international
FC Augsburg has signed left-back Aaron Zehnter (17), who plays in the U19s, with a professional contract until 2024. The Fuggerstadt confirmed this on Sunday. The contract includes an option until 2026.
Sports Managing Director Stefan Reuter said of the German junior national player: “We are pleased that we were able to convince Aaron Zehnter of our path, although many clubs have expressed interest in him. We are sure that he has great prospects at FCA with his facilities and skills. His path shows how you can develop step by step at FCA and make the leap into the licensed team. The success of the U19s is an example of the years of good work by everyone involved in the youth development and Aaron Zehnter is a good example of how FCA will continue to benefit from this work in the years to come.”

Reuter continues: “Aaron will be a permanent part of the professional squad in the coming season. So we want to continue to promote him in a targeted manner so that we can see another young player of our own playing in the WWK ARENA.”
