Franco Antonucci returns to FC Volendam. The attacking midfielder will be rented from Feyenoord for the rest of the season.
If Volendam is promoted to the Eredivisie, Antonucci will automatically stay with the Volendam team for one more season. Antonucci has already played for Volendam in the past two seasons. He did so well that he made a transfer to Feyenoord. At Volendam he played 52 matches and scored twelve times. He did not yet break through in Rotterdam.
“This was a choice with my head and heart. Last season did not end as hoped and I now want to help Volendam to promote to the Eredivisie,” said Antonucci.
“Franco took the time to look at all possible destinations. In the end, he had the best feeling when returning to Volendam,” says technical director Jasper van Leeuwen.
