According to the current status, the German national soccer team will not be in the pot of the best teams in the draw for the soccer World Cup in Qatar. FIFA will use the world rankings from March 31 as the basis for the classification, the world association announced on Tuesday (March 22, 2022). Germany’s chance, through friendly wins on Saturday at 8:45 p.m. against Israel and on Tuesday at 20.45 against the Netherlands making up significant places is extremely small.
The seven best-placed teams and hosts Qatar will make up the eight group heads in the drawing on April 1 in Doha. Germany is currently only eleventh, behind eight nations that have already qualified: Belgium, Brazil, France, Argentina, England, Spain, Denmark and the Netherlands. European champions Italy (6th place) and Portugal (8th place) also have the chance to qualify via the playoffs.

In addition to hosts Qatar, 28 qualified teams will be selected for the draw and divided into four pots according to their world ranking position. In addition, there are the winners of two intercontinental playoffs and the winner of the European playoffs. Because of the Russian war of aggression in Ukraine, Ukraine’s semifinals in Scotland had been postponed to June. These three wildcard tickets go into the weakest pot four.
A maximum of two European teams in a World Cup group will be possible, from the other confederations only one team per group.
