Solidarity for Israel: Around 700 people marched through City West on Sunday at the “Jewish Life Berlin” demonstration to protest against anti-Semitism and support Israel.
The participants, secured by over 500 police officers, moved from Wittenbergplatz to Lehniner Platz from 3 p.m. They waved numerous Israeli flags, held signs and played loud music to show their solidarity with Israel and the victims of Hamas terror.
Beforehand, they listened to the speakers at the podium who commemorated the victims and relatives of the attack and advocated for Jewish life in Berlin.
The rabbi and chairman of the Chabad Jewish Community in Berlin, Yehuda Teichtal (51), gave people hope: “Jewish life in Berlin will have a wonderful, beautiful and strong future – but more must be done for it.”
