Princess Delphine lashes out at British press: ‘Would never compare myself to Diana’ Royals

“I don’t accept being misquoted by the press,” Delphine wrote in the piece. “Normally I don’t respond to wrong quotes, but this is just wrong.”

In an interview with The Daily Mail, Delphine talks about the time she was recognized as the daughter of the Belgian King Albert. “People now compare me to Princess Diana,” Delphine is said to have said. “I am a princess of hearts and I am very generous when it comes to charitable work.” Delphine said he did not make those statements.

“It has been taken out of context. I would never compare myself to Princess Diana, whom I greatly admire,” she wrote. “We have very different stories. And I would certainly never call myself a ‘princess of hearts’, as the press is now writing it.”
