RoyaltyPrincess Delphine would never compare herself to Princess Diana. She writes that on Instagram, after it was reported in British media that she had made that comparison.
“I don’t accept it when I’m misquoted by the press,” Delphine captioned the piece. “Normally I don’t respond to wrong quotes, but this is just wrong.”
The Daily Mail reported earlier this weekend that Delphine had talked in an interview with Tatler about the time she was recognized as the daughter of Belgium’s King Albert. “People now compare me to Princess Diana,” Delphine is said to have said. “I am a princess of hearts and I am very generous when it comes to charitable work.” Delphine said he did not make those statements.
“It’s taken out of context. I would never compare myself to Princess Diana, whom I admire a lot,” she writes. “We have very different stories. And I would certainly never call myself a ‘princess of hearts’, as the press is now writing it.”
