Princess Anne will naturally be seen at the coronation of her brother, King Charles, on Saturday. The princess commented on her role in an interview with CBC News.

When the reporter asked Anne more details about the coronation, Anne answered with a twinkle in her eye.

– No, I’m waiting to be told. I haven’t asked too many questions, the princess laughed.

Anne also shed light on her role at the coronation. Anne will be seen in the role of the king’s bodyguard. He rides in the procession behind the royal couple’s carriage to Buckingham Palace. Afterwards, Anne leads a giant procession through the streets of London, which includes 6,000 armed forces personnel.

The princess has a prestigious role as a ceremonial bodyguard (gold stick in waiting). The role has been given to a person entrusted with the monarch’s personal security.

– It was a role that I was asked about – so I said yes. Not least because it solves my dressing problem, Anne suggested.

So Anne relies on her familiar uniform. Anne has been riding all her life.

After the procession, selected members of the royal family wave from the balcony of Buckingham Palace and greet the people.

Special tasks

Also, among other things, the 9-year-old prince of Prince William and Princess Catherine’s firstborn George’s has a special role at the coronation. George and seven other boys close to the royal couple acted as pages of honor in the ceremony.

Traditionally, a paash has meant a royal servant, usually a young nobleman. The page of honor designation is used in connection with court ceremonial events. The task of children elected to the position of honor at the coronation is primarily to carry the King and Queen’s cloaks in the procession to Westminster Abbey.

A royal writer Tessa Dunlop recently told OK! magazine that Charles and George would have been training hard to walk with a cape. Dunlop says one of George’s main jobs is “to make sure he doesn’t fall over his grandfather”.

The coronation of the king is celebrated in many ways. One makes original works of art.
