Hat just 10 years old, turned last July, but Prince George, heir to the throne of England, cannot enjoy the holidays like all his other schoolmates. William and Kate want to accustom their firstborn, little sister Charlotte, 8, and little brother Louis, 5, to the typical rhythms of the British court right now. And that means children they don’t even stop during the holidays.
Prince George’s many holiday commitments
Just like mom and dad, little Wales also have a busy schedule. In addition to the usual events related to the Windsor Christmas at Sandringham, visits to relatives and friends of the parents are planned. And a few days are also spent by the Middleton grandparents, who every year invite them to Bucklebury Manor, their country residence not far from Windsor Castle, where grandmother Carole organizes Christmas and New Year games and activities.
Prince George learns the rules of Royal protocol
Even though the school closed its doors a few days before Christmas, George, Charlotte and Louis continue to study even during holidays. The teachers sent them home with loads of homework, and to these are added the Royal etiquette lessons with private teachers, scheduled for the little ones during non-school periods.
The little princes work in the stables and in the Royal gardens
There’s no time to relax at Christmas and George, Charlotte and Louis are learning that quickly. Hours spent playing in their rooms at Adelaide Cottage are certainly not denied but must be planned in advance. Also to make room for the little jobs in the countryside, in the garden and in particular in the stables and stables, which the little Waleses have to do in their free time to learn theimportance of manual work and gain a sense of responsibility and discipline.
Waiting to go skiing with mum and dad
George, Charlotte and Louis will return to class on January 10th but they won’t have to wait long for the next holiday. In fact, the British school system plans to close schools from 9 to 19 February for the so-called half term, the half term holidays. And this will be a real break. Because this year too, sources at court say, William and Kate will take them skiing.
