Prince George celebrates his 9th birthday on Friday.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge William’s and Catherine’s the firstborn prince George turns 9 on Friday. On Thursday evening, the family’s official Instagram account published a new photo in honor of the birthday.

In the picture, the hero of the day is smiling widely in the beach scenery. He is wearing a blue shirt and holding a watch.
Typically, the birthday portraits published of the family are taken by Duchess Catherine. Catherine is behind her son’s picture this time as well.

In the comments of the Instagram publication, one thing in particular is surprising: the resemblance between George and William’s father.

Prince George is third in line to the throne after his father William and his grandfather Charles’s after. He is the youngest member of the British court who is expected to rise to power in due course.
George also has two little sisters: 7-year-old Princess Charlotte and a 4-year-old prince Louis.
In June, the whole family celebrated Queen Elizabeth, who reigned for 70 years. PDO
