Prince Charles, heir to the British throne, has contracted COVID-19 account the prince and his wife on Twitter.
The Prince of Wales tested positive for COVID-19 this morning and is now in self-isolation.
Due to infection, 73-year-old Charles had to postpone his visit to Winchester, where he was supposed to take part in the opening of the monument to Lycorice of Winchester, a Jewish pawnbroker who lent money to the royal family in the Middle Ages and was killed under unclear circumstances, and also to visit Winchester Castle.
Prince Charles was already sick with the coronavirus at the beginning of the pandemic. Last year, he and his wife, the Duchess of Cornwall, were vaccinated.
