Prime Minister Rutte will travel to Madrid on Wednesday 30 March to visit Prime Minister Sánchez of Spain, an audience with King Felipe VI and a speech at the Fundación Carlos de Amberes.
In the Prado Museum in Madrid, Prime Minister Rutte gives the Commemorative Lecture (Lección Conmemorativa) of the Fundación Carlos de Amberes, a foundation focused on cultural projects and events. Prime Minister Sanchez is also present. In the lecture, the Prime Minister will discuss the bilateral relationship between Spain and the Netherlands and the importance of united cooperation in the EU and NATO.
Immediately after the lecture, Prime Minister Rutte will have an audience with King Felipe VI at the Zarzuela Palace in Madrid. Following the audience, Prime Minister Rutte is received at the palace of Moncloa by Prime Minister Sánchez for a bilateral discussion and working dinner. The agenda includes: the war in Ukraine, the European energy market and economic growth and innovation.
