Prime Minister Rutte will attend the National Holocaust Remembrance in Amsterdam on Sunday 30 January 2022. During the commemoration, the Prime Minister and State Secretary Van Ooijen of Health, Welfare and Sport will lay a wreath at the ‘Never More Auschwitz’ Memorial Monument.
Since 2015, the liberation date of Auschwitz, January 27, 1945, has been an international day of remembrance set by the UN: The Holocaust Memorial Day. On that date, victims of the Holocaust and other genocides are commemorated all over the world.
The National Holocaust Remembrance takes place every year in the Wertheim Park in Amsterdam on the last Sunday in January. Also this year with an adjusted program due to the corona measures.
