The Trade Association Textile Shoes Leather Goods (BTE) announced on Wednesday the forthcoming resignation of its President Steffen Jost. The managing partner of the fashion house Jost from Grünstadt “resigns his office in the middle of the election period,” said the industry organization. The 64-year-old, who has been at the head of the association since 2007, will “gradually withdraw from the operative business,” the statement said.
His potential successor has already been found. Mark Rauschen will “stand for the office of BTE President at the next BTE delegates’ meeting on September 20, 2023,” the association said. The 48-year-old is the managing partner of the Osnabrück fashion house L&T Lengermann & Trieschmann. He has been a member of the BTE Executive Committee since 2021.
