PRESIDENT ERDOĞAN TALKED ON THE PHONE
Chatting with national wrestlers and coaches, Minister Bak received information about the preparations for the World Wrestling Championship to be held between 16-24 September. Minister Bak was then called by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan while he was watching the training in the stands. After Minister Bak told President Erdoğan that he was at the National Wrestling Team’s camp and was following the preparations, Erdoğan met with Freestyle Wrestling National Team Captain Taha Akgül.
“THERE SHOULD NOT BE A MISTAKE HAPPENED!”
President Erdoğan, who received information about the preparations, said to Taha Akgül, from whom he was expecting a gold medal, “Let’s not go wrong,” and the national wrestler replied, “I hope so, Mr. President, I am well prepared.”
Erdoğan wished the national wrestler to get a quota for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games in this championship. Taha Akgül promised President Erdoğan to repeat the successes of the past this year as well. Taha Akgül requested President Erdoğan to watch the match on the screen if he made it to the final. Thereupon, Minister Bak said, “Not if we make it to the finals, I hope you will,” which made me smile.
President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan conveyed his greetings to the entire group and wished them success.
