Premier League, the match calendar of the 2022-23 season

First day on 5-7 August, the last on 28 May. Six weeks off for the World Cup, from 12 November to 26 December

The start on 5 August at 8 pm with the Crystal Palace-Arsenal advance, the interruption for the World Cup from 12 November to 26 December, the last day on 28 May (one week after the usual). The Premier League has already drawn up plans for next season, a different calendar than usual for the forced break of the World Cup in Qatar.

At the request of the football federation, there will be no matches between the big six in the matches on November 12-13, the last one before the World Cup.

The first

City will open their title defense with West Ham at the London Stadium at 5.30pm on Sunday 7 August. Also on 7 August the new Manchester United manager, Erik ten Hag, will inaugurate his first season in the Premier League at home against Brighton. Nottingham Forest’s first Premier League match in 23 years will be with Newcastle.

The first day

Here are the matches of the first day: Friday 5 August at 20: Crystal Palace- Arsenal. Saturday 6 August Fulham- Liverpool; Bournemouth-Aston Villa; Leeds-Wolves; Leicester-Brentford; Newcastle-Nottingham Forest; Spurs- Southampton; Everton-Chelsea. Sunday 7 August: Manchester United v Brighton; West Ham-Manchester City.
