The English football cup winners FC Liverpool have committed their top star Mohamed Salah to a long-term deal. The 30-year-old striker, who has been with manager Jürgen Klopp’s club since 2017, has signed a new long-term contract at Anfield, Liverpool have announced.
The club did not provide any information about the exact term. English media unanimously reported a contract until 2025. In 254 games so far for Liverpool Salah scored 156 goals. This puts him in ninth place in the list of Liverpool goalscorers. The Egyptian has won the Premier League with the Reds since arriving at Anfield FA Cupthe League Cup, the Champions League and the Club World Cup.
Last season, the Klopp team narrowly missed out on the English championship and lost in the Champions League-Final against Real Madrid. For Salah, who came from AS Roma in 2017, it was the third final in the premier class.
