Liverpool (AP) – Former Schalke player Joel Matip has praised the qualities of his teammate Thiago at Liverpool FC.

Spain international Thiago played for Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga before moving to Liverpool.
Matip wants to hide the duel with City on Sunday, which may be decisive in the English title fight, before the Champions League game. “To win more titles we have to win every game. You can’t afford to think a few days in advance,” he said. Liverpool are a point behind leaders Manchester City with eight games to play. Liverpool meets Benfica Lisbon in the first leg in Portugal on Tuesday.
