Premier League | Chelsea FC manages the turnaround thanks to Havertz

National soccer player Kai Havertz put Chelsea back on the road to success in the Premier League.

The former Leverkusen player gave the Londoners a 2-0 (2-0) lead against AFC Bournemouth, who had said goodbye to the World Cup break with three league defeats in a row.

Havertz played strongly after the World Cup disappointment with Germany and, in addition to his goal (16th), prepared the 2-0 through Mason Mount (24th). In addition to Havertz, team manager Graham Potter trusted six other World Cup drivers in his starting eleven, including former Gladbacher Denis Zakaria, who made his first appearance in the Blues jersey.

Chelsea moved up to eighth place in the table with their seventh win of the season in 15 games and at least keeps the international ranks in sight.

Manchester United also returned to everyday league life with a win. The record champions celebrated a 3-0 (2-0) win against Nottingham Forest in the first Premier League game after the departure of superstar Cristiano Ronaldo.

The Englishman Marcus Rashford (19th) and the Frenchman Anthony Martial (22nd) advanced, the Brazilian Fred (87th) decided the encounter in the final phase. Team manager Erik ten Hag’s team is fifth, one point behind the Champions League ranks.
