What’s going on in the Premier League? English football famous for the patience with which it relies on their coaches for so many years to build a winning cycle (think of the Ferguson and Wenger managements) now has no more patience: 13 coaches in 11 teams have already jumped this season. An earthquake. We talk about it in the new episode of In the Box, our podcast about English football. With the help of London correspondent Davide Chinellato, we analyze the reasons for this change in management of the Premier League clubs, with a particular focus on Chelsea and Leicester City. The Blues are taking on Lampard, the old flag of the club, they are in their fourth coach of the season, the Foxes are disappointing and it was Brendan Rodgers who paid the price. Finally, a dive into minor football: the glorious Bolton, one of the founders of the Football League at the end of the 19th century, avoided bankruptcy and triumphed at Wembley, in front of 79,000 spectators (!), winning the Papa John’s Trophy, a competition dedicated to of League One and League Two, English third and fourth series.
