An unknown predator killed two penguins in Wildlands in the night from Sunday to Monday. Carers discovered the dead animals on Monday morning.
“The penguins had bite traces,” says spokesman Hanneke Wijshake of Wildlands, “but it is unknown which animal she has inflicted.”
Wildlands is sure that it is an animal from outside the park. No animals from their stay have escaped in Wildlands.
The zoo has taken measures to protect the penguins. A wild camera has also been placed.
