Roberto Massardi has been Prada’s Chief Business Development Officer since May.
In this position, Massardi will be “responsible for the strategic development of the group by evaluating new business opportunities,” the Italian fashion group announced on Wednesday. He reports directly to CEOs Miuccia Prada and Patrizio Bertelli.
Massardi joins Prada from Stone Island. He was General Manager at the Italian outerwear brand, which has belonged to Moncler since the end of March 2022. Before that he was already active for the Prada Group. In 1996 he was active there as Business Development Director and later as General Director for Jil Sander. He also held various positions at tire manufacturer Pirelli.
With the new top manager, Prada is continuing its restructuring at the top. Andrea Bonini was only appointed CFO at the end of March. At the same time, Cristina De Dona assumed the role of Group General Counsel and Diego Maletto assumed the role of Group Internal Auditing Director. In addition, Bertelli plans to hand over his role as co-CEO to his son Lorenzo Bertelli, who is already Executive Director at Prada.
