A large part of Drenthe was affected by a power outage this evening. The first reports came in around 6:30 PM from the municipalities of Westerveld, Midden-Drenthe, Coevorden and Aa en Hunze.
A spokesperson for grid operator Enexis reports that the outage was resolved around 8:15 p.m. “All affected customers in Drenthe have power restored,” the spokesperson said.
More than 10,000 households were affected according to Enexis, the disruption area ran roughly from Wilhelminaoord to Schoonoord. A spokesperson said that it was a spontaneous major power outage, the cause is not yet known.
