The Antwerp correctional court has sentenced a former employee of a residential care center in Zandhoven to a prison sentence for the degrading treatment of two residents suffering from dementia. The 37-year-old woman from Kasterlee had put a pillow on the head of one of the victims and locked the other in the bathroom. She was under enormous pressure, according to her lawyer.
