PostNL is expanding its retail network even further in Belgium. By the end of this year, the Dutch postal and parcel company wants to supplement the current network of 1,000 PostNL points with at least 350 extra points, PostNL reports in a communiqué on Wednesday.
By making the network more intricate, the company says it wants to increase the ease of receiving and sending consumers. A Belgian consumer can now find a PostNL point on average two kilometers from home to pick up or send parcels, it sounds. In Brussels, it is even an average of 750 meters.
The network of PostNL points consists of local entrepreneurs who, in their own business, also deliver online orders via PostNL to consumers who opt for delivery at a collection point or were not at home at the time of home delivery.
