Agust D, aka Suga from BTS, released his debut single “People Pt.2 (feat. IU)” from his solo album D-Day last week.
The album will be officially released on Friday. This not only includes a collaboration with South Korean star IU, but also a piece with the late composer legend Ryuichi Sakamoto (as well as Woosung from South Korean rock band The Rose). “Snooze” was produced by El Capitxn and has not yet been heard ..
Ryuichi Sakamoto passed away in March after a long battle with cancer. 12, the Japanese musician’s last album, was released in January and was also an exploration of dying.
According to a press release, “D-Day” is the third installment in the Agust-D trilogy. The record was preceded by 2016’s self-titled mixtape and 2020’s “D-2”. The new album also features Suga’s BTS bandmate J-Hope on a track titled “Huh?!”.
