It froze so hard last night that IJsvereniging De Hondsrug was able to prepare a serious ice floor, the KNSB said.
Willem Hut, marathon competition leader of the KNSB, will measure the thickness of the ice around 12.30 pm. If the track meets the minimum requirements, the intention is to have the race run on Sunday evening.
