Possibly shot again in Winschoten: police are investigating ‘bullet holes’ in the window of a cafe

On the Market Square in Winschoten, shots may have been fired at a cafe. Police were investigating what are believed to be two bullet holes in a window on Wednesday night.

This is confirmed by a police spokesman. He received a report of the ‘bullet holes’ in the window of a café on the Market Square in the city on Wednesday evening around six o’clock. That square is located in the center of the place, in the heart of the entertainment area. The Night of Winschoten is also planned there for the coming weekend.

The police have not had any reports of a shooting incident in the street, the spokesperson says. It is therefore unknown when the shooting took place, today or perhaps earlier.

A week ago, people were injured after a shooting on the industrial estate of Winschoten. In Oude Pekela, shots were fired at a house and a company on Monday. Police have not yet said whether the cases are related.
