Portugal is worried about its former top football star Paulo Futre: the 56-year-old ex-national player suffered a stroke after his mother’s funeral and is now being treated in a hospital in Lisbon.
This is reported by the Portuguese media. Accordingly, Futre is conscious and is waiting for a full diagnosis.
Left winger Futre had won the European Cup with FC Porto in 1987 by beating FC Bayern in the final and then switched to Atlético Madrid for six years.
This was followed by detours to Olympique Marseille, AC Milan and West Ham United, among others.
