Portugal will face a heat wave from Friday and an increasing risk of forest fires, the Portuguese authorities warn. “The government is declaring the alert level to limit all activities that could endanger people,” Interior Minister Jose Luis Carneiro said on Thursday after a meeting with the civil defense summit.
