PORTRAIT. The Flemish halal butcher who went to fight for Ukraine, but turned out to be a spy of Putin’s ‘bloodhound’ | War Ukraine and Russia

Khuseyn Dzhambetov is a Chechen who went to fight against the Russians in Ukraine. He grew into a hero there. But now he’s defected and is literally cuddling with “Putin’s bloodhound,” Ramzan Kadyrov. The Ukrainians think he has always been a spy. And not just one. Because he speaks Dutch with a heavy Limburgish accent and appears to have run a butcher shop in a weekday Flemish street for years.
