Sébastien Courtoy (48), lawyer for Smail Farisi during the terror trial, died unexpectedly at home after heart failure. The flamboyant counselor with gold sunglasses and Lucky Strike cigarette between his fingers became best known as ‘advocate of the indefensible’. According to some, an anti-Semite and a Fleming hater, praised by many for his dossier knowledge. “He was one of the best advocates in our country,” says friend and colleague Michel Degrève.
