“With the online hotline, the port authority wants to offer an efficient point of contact for anyone who notices suspicious situations or has specific questions or complaints,” says chairman Dirk De fauw of the port authority.

The port is considering, among other things, light and noise nuisance, or traffic nuisance, but local residents can also report reports of crime via that platform. The port passes on urgent matters to the police.
