Shortly before the release of their new album “Closure / Continuation” on June 24, 2022, we met Porcupine Tree for a video interview in Berlin.
In the course of the conversation, the two band members Steven Wilson and Richard Barbieri told us their favorite album, the inspiration for the new project and their own creative development. They also explained why it took them so long to complete Closure/Continuation – and why it’s real art for that very reason.
“Closure/Continuation”
Closure/Continuation is Porcupine Tree’s eleventh studio album. It represents the first joint work since “The Incident” from 2009. The recording process of the new album thus stretched over a whole decade until the band finally completed the project in 2021. But the long wait was worth it: On “Closure/Continuation” Porcupine Tree once again captivate with innovative rock music and melancholic melodies.
“Closure/Continuation” will be released on June 24, 2022 in both a seven-track standard edition and a deluxe version with ten songs.
In the appendix you will also find the track list and dates for their first tour since October 2010, which will take them to Berlin and Stuttgart, among other places.
