Larry Hogan will not run for the US presidency on behalf of the Republicans. The former governor of the state of Maryland, an outspoken opponent of Donald Trump, does not want to inadvertently help the former president win the 2024 nomination. He believes a large list of Republican candidates for the White House will cause even greater division within the Grand Old Party with the risk that Trump will benefit from this in the vote.
